Real Picture Postcards of WWII Military Aircraft This is a set of what we have learned is called Real Picture Postcards. These are definitely real photographs, with the Postcard designation, stamp area, etc. on the reverse side.

I am not an authority on WWII military aircraft; however, these were with the paperwork of a WWII Pilot and Flight Instructor, so that must be what they are. The six Picture Postcards are marked as follows:

Brewster Burmuda Dive Bomber
Brewster Buffalo Fighter
Brewster Buccaneer Dive Bomber
Curtiss Helldiver SB2C-1
Martin Mars
U.S.S. Ranger
(aircraft carrier)

The condition is very good, with only minimal signs of handling. Each postcard does have a tiny pinhole in the margin of each the two top corners (barely visible).

We have one additional Real Picture Postcard, from the same source. It is a photograph of "San Diego Bay and City from Point Loma". It is listed on our site under the category Ephemera.
