GRENOBLE (or GLORIA) by WM. A. ROGERS - TEASPOON - Silverplate Flatware

We have a number of individual pieces of silver flatware, both Sterling and Silverplate, collected over many years. It is really sad to see so much old silver being sold at auction and other outlets, knowing it will simply be resold to be melted down. Irreplaceable pieces and patterns are being lost. We are listing these pieces in the hope that they will be purchased by those who treasure the look and feel of these beautiful old remembrances of yesterday's graceful dining.

PATTERN: Grenoble

MAKER: Wm. A. Rogers

TYPE: Silverplate

DATES: 1906

ITEM: Teaspoon

SIZE: 6"

COMMENTS: This pattern is also known as the Gloria pattern. It does have wear showing in bowl of spoon.

These pieces make beautiful accents, especially on a buffet serving table. Use the forks for pickles, olives, cheese, hors d'oeuvres, etc. The teaspoons are great for dips and sauces in small bowls. I love to use the mismatched unique spoons in individual dessert dishes. Although very few of us serve the tiny demitasse cups of coffee these days, those delightful small demitasse spoons are perfect for serving the small ramekins of crème brulee or Pots de Crème. I sincerely hope that these treasures find new homes and pass on to future generations.

I try to describe the items on this site as accurately as possible; however since most of the items are either antique or at best vintage, due to their age, they are sold in "as is" condition.
