Mallory Yaxley Radio Service Encyclopedia - 1937 First Edition boxed

This copy of the Mallory Yaxley Radio Service Encyclopedia was compiled and published by P.R. Mallory & Company, Inc. in 1937. It is identified as the First Edition both inside and on the original accompanying box cover. It is denoted as a "Limited Edition" on the front cover.

Not only was it the First Edition of this wealth of information, it was the first of it's kind to ever be published. The Introduction explains that it was compiled with the radio service man in mind, since they had long been forced to scour multiple books to locate the information they needed.

With that said, I must readily admit I do not understand a word of what is contained in the 215 pages of diagrams, charts, listings and descriptions contained in this volume. However, I am sure that anyone who is involved in collecting or repairing those wonderful old tube radios will appreciate it for its wealth of data.

This cloth bound book is in exceptionally nice condition, encased in its original box, with only minimal signs of yellowing and use. The spine is in very good condition. The cardboard coverbox shows wear, as it protected the actual book for 70 years. A true treasure for the antique radio enthusiast.

I try to describe the items on this site as accurately as possible; however, due to their age, they are sold in "as is" condition. Please contact us with any questions, or to request additional pictures, by using the Contact tab on our Home page.
