Real Picture Postcard -- San Diego Bay and City from Point Loma --vintage 1940's Ephemera has been defined as: Something short-lived, transitory, lasting a day or so. My favorite description of Ephemera is: "The minor transient documents of everyday life".

This card is from a set of what we have learned is called Real Picture Postcards. These are definitely real photographs, with the Postcard designation, stamp area, etc. on the reverse side.

This one is labeled "San Diego Bay and City from Point Loma". It was photographed and produced as a postcard at some time during the WWII era, as it was found among papers of a navy pilot who had been stationed there during the 1940's.

We have six aditional Real Picture Postcards, from the same source. They are listed under the category Weaponry / Military Items, and they are photocards of WWII Military Aircraft.

The condition is very good, with only minimal signs of handling. This postcard does have a tiny pinhole in the margin of each the two top corners (barely visible).
