Ephemera has been defined as: Something short-lived, transitory, lasting a day or so. My favorite description of Ephemera is: "The minor transient documents of everyday life".

Once again, I encounter a simple piece of Ephemera, kept for whatever reason for the past 92 years. In researching, I find that these old passenger ticket stubs, or Passenger's Check have become the subject of collections, and a very fascinating collection they must make.

This ticket was issued by the Pullman Car Lines in November of 1919. The route was from Denver to Casper,Wyo. at a price of $2.25. The ticket stub was punched, and on the reverse side it is stamped on "The D.U.T.RY. Co. Denver, Colo. ticket dept. No. 12 on Nov 20, 1919". This would stand for the Denver Union Terminal Railway Company.

The ticket is in exceptionally nice condition, with minimal wear. After photographing it, we placed it into a heavy plastic sports card sleeve for protection.
